11+ Tuition in Streatham
If you want to assist your child in their 11+ exam, Bright Futures Children's Centre have the staff and facilities to help. The 11+ Exam is a competitive school entrance exam that is typically required for admission to selective independent and grammar schools in the United Kingdom. Admission to these schools is extremely competitive. 25% of the exam is not taught in schools, leaving a significant gap in students' knowledge. Our teachers are 11+ exam professionals who train students starting in year 4 in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Mathematical and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Lessons are organised utilising CEM (University of Durham's Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring) and GL Assessment boards. 11+ coaching will come in handy later in your child's life as they prepare for SATs, GCSEs, and further education.
Our 11+ syllabus covers some of the following topics:
English
Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG), Vocabulary, Word Types, Writing and Comprehension
Mathematics
Numerical reasoning, numbers and place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, percentages. Units and measures, shapes and space.
Verbal Reasoning
Missing letters, odd words, analogy, multiple meanings, ordering words, and embedded answers (Cloze Questions).
Non-Verbal Reasoning
Spotting patterns, similarities and differences, pairs, series and grid, rotation and reflection, 3d shapes.
9/10 of our students were offered a place at an independent or grammar school.
It is critical that your child understands the fundamentals of mathematics to pass the 11+ Exam.
